Full Time (36.25hrs per week) | Term Time| Fixed Term until 19th December 2025

The Sixth Form Bolton are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Careers Adviser to cover a maternity leave post. The successful candidate will be guidance qualified, self-starter who is happy to use their own initiative in terms of planning events and activities that will support our students and help us to maintain the Gatsby Benchmarks.  A large part of your role will be to provide one-to-one careers guidance to our cohort of students as they begin to explore their career aspirations and next steps after sixth form, whether that be university, apprenticeships or employment.  To succeed in this role, you must have excellent organisational skills, the ability to communicate and inspire along with a genuine passion for supporting students.

We would like to hear from professionals who are passionate and enjoy encouraging and challenging students to achieve their personal goals and aspirations. Candidates should be able to take up post from 10th February 2025

 The successful applicant will be required to:

•              Have experience of delivering group work

•              Have experience of working within an education setting

•              Have knowledge of all post-sixth form progression pathways, (including Higher Education and Degree Apprenticeships)

•              Understand the UCAS admissions process

•              Have knowledge of the degree apprenticeship recruitment process
