B6 Students Secure Amazing Degree Apprenticeships |
The Sixth Form Bolton is proud to highlight the remarkable achievement of many of its students who are progressing onto highly prestigious degree apprenticeships. The Sixth Form runs its very own Apprenticeship Academy, supporting and mentoring students on their journey to secure higher and degree apprenticeships. Degree apprenticeships are a unique pathway in higher education and allow students to learn through a combination of working and studying, all while earning a wage, making them a highly sought-after option for those leaving college and beyond. Millie Adamson, a former student of Westhoughton High School, achieved Triple Distinction Stars in their Triple Vocational A Level Applied Science and is now preparing for a Degree Apprenticeship in Civil Aerospace with Rolls Royce. Mille, who fought off immense competition to secure her place, said of her amazing achievement: “I’m so relieved and grateful to receive my grades. I’ve worked so hard and I’m really proud of myself. I’m excited to move away, learn some independence, and get started on my career.” Former Essa Academy student, Uwais Gangat, is celebrating achieving two grade As in Accounting and Mathematics, plus a grade B in Economics. Uwais is excited to start their Accounting Degree Apprenticeship with global accounting firm Saffery. Uwais said: “A huge thank you to all the great teachers who have supported me to not only get my grades but secure an apprenticeship with a top accounting firm.” Hasna Azam, also a former Essa Academy student, is due to start their Degree apprenticeship with Forvis Mazars Accountants in Public Sector Audit this summer. Hasna achieved an A grade in A Level Accounting and the L3 Extended Project Qualification, a Distinction Star in their L3 BTEC National Extended Certificate in Business, and a B grade in A Level Mathematics. Hasna said: “I’d like to thank my teachers for pulling me through when needed and for pushing me to achieve higher than I ever thought I could.” Amina Batool joined The Sixth Form from Bolton Muslim Girls' School. After sweeping the board with an A* in A Level Law and two A grades in Sociology and Politics, Amina is delighted to be starting a Level 7 Legal Solicitor Apprenticeship with TLT LLP in Manchester. Amina said: “My results are a testament to the hard work of my teachers and my personal efforts over the past two years. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to study at The Sixth Form Bolton, and excited for what is to come!” Former St Ambrose Barlow RC High School student, Mmesoma Ikebudu, is exciting to be starting their career with a Degree Apprenticeship as an Applications IT Consultant with multinational IT firm, Capgemini. Mmesoma achieved an incredible A* in their L3 Extended Project Qualification, three A grades in A Level Chemistry, Computer Science and Level 3 Core Mathematics, and a grade B in Economics. Mmesoma said: “I’m feeling very relieved and grateful to God and everyone who I’ve met at college.
