A LEVELS OR VOCATIONAL ADVANCED LEVELS?
The main difference between these courses is that A Levels are assessed mainly through examinations, with coursework modules in some subjects. Vocational Advanced Level courses are mainly coursework based, with examinations or external assessments in most subjects.
Deciding whether to study an A Level or a Vocational A Level course can be confusing. To maximise options, we offer students three different pathways and give them the opportunity to mix Single Vocational A Levels with A Levels to create a broader combination of qualifications and skills.
Universities welcome applications from students with both Vocational A Levels and A Level qualifications.
